Zimlets™ are a mechanism to integrate ZCS with different third-party applications to enhance the user experience from the Zimbra Web Client. With Zimlets, users can look at information and interact with the third-party application from within their email messages. Zimlets can be made available from the Zimbra Web Client Overview Pane to users by modifying the Class of Service (COS).
For information about how to develop and configure Zimlets see the Zimlet Development on the Zimbra wiki. Go to the Zimbra gallery, http:// gallery.zimbra.com, to see the type of Zimlets that can be used within the Zimbra Collaboration Server.
From the administration console, you set access privileges by COS and by individual accounts. Users can disable and enable Zimlets that are not mandatory from their Preferences>Zimlets page.
Zimlets that are deployed are listed on the Zimlets contents pane.
